Build Up Ottawa is not about backing any one party or candidate. It's about backing a better future for our city. In this federal election, we’re calling on voters, business leaders, and elected officials to support bold, visionary policies that prioritize Ottawa’s unique potential.
OBOT’s Federal Election Priorities

A vibrant downtown is essential to a healthy city. Ottawa’s core needs bold reinvestment.
Our Call To Action : Commit to OBOT’s Downtown Action Agenda, including strategic infrastructure, housing, and public space investments.
SME Support: Empowering Small and Medium-Sized Businesses
Small and medium-sized enterprises are the backbone of the Canadian economy; yet SMEs in Ottawa face high costs, labour shortages, complex regulations, and trade barriers that stifle their ability to grow, innovate, and compete on a global scale.
Our Call To Action : Lower small business taxes, reduce regulatory barriers, improve access to capital, and support affordable housing.
Economic Growth Agenda: Fostering Competitiveness
From AI to cybersecurity, Ottawa already hosts some of Canada’s most promising industries. But to fully harness this potential, we need a clear, consistent economic growth agenda - one that nurtures investment, boosts productivity, and builds a predictable tax environment.
Our Call To Action : Attract investment, strengthen supply chains, streamline immigration, and create a predictable business climate.
Innovative Infrastructure: Building for the Future
From housing to high-speed rail, Ottawa needs 21st-century infrastructure. By prioritizing projects like LRT Phase 3, Ottawa Airport expansion, high speed rail, smart city initiatives, and affordable housing construction, we can transform Ottawa into a model for urban innovation and sustainability.
